I’m making plans to begin production of my next film VETERANS JOURNEY HOME – an emotionally compelling documentary story to highlight the best practices and people helping veterans heal from the “moral injury” of going to war. The film will document veterans as they go through diverse modern-day and indigenous rites of passage to heal the wounds of war (mentally, physically, emotionally and spritually) and successfully transition back into meaningful civilian life. YOUTH HERO OF THE MONTH – PATRICIA CLASON!
A surviver of sexual abuse, Patricia Clason dedicates her life to healing emotional trauma in others. After finding her own path to wellness, Clason brought the Taking It Lightly emotional intelligence program to Wisconsin. She later founded the Healing Warrior Hearts program, which is dedicated to providing programs for military personnel and their families to heal from the emotional, moral and spiritual wounds of war. Sponsored by The Starfish Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, Healing Warrior Hearts offers their program free of charge to military veterans and their families.
