Yes, going to the movies still is possible! It not only still exists, but it’s possible to see the best, and most recent, independent and foreign films too!
OK, so you have to travel to Boise, Idaho. But it’s worth it! Boise is a great, bicycle and pedestrian friendly city, with great weather and beautiful natural surroundings. My friend and colleague, owner Carole Skinner recently installed a hugely expensive new air filtration system. That, coupled with the smart physical distancing policies, makes it safe too. And you can still buy all manner of food and drink to eat in one of the four theaters or on their lovely outdoor patio. Kudos to Carole and her conscientious staff for keeping the communal pleasures of cinematic tradition alive and well.
