Warrior Films to Screen Veterans Journey Home in Ukraine This April
We are so excited to update you all on our travel plans for Ukraine this April to present the five-film series Veterans Journey Home.
Our initial invitation was extended by Ivan Stepurin, Director of Summit Publishing and President of the NGO Ukrainian Smile. Summit publishes the works of Dr. Edward Tick, whose pioneering research on moral injury and post-traumatic stress deeply informed the Veterans Journey Home series. Dr. Tick’s work serves as a foundation for the films’ exploration of healing and reconciliation for the invisible wounds of war.
The trip has been made possible through the support of Warrior Films’ generous donor community, whose contributions continue to advance the organization’s mission of using storytelling as a tool for healing and social impact. Thank you for your continued support!
A Collaborative Effort Across Ukraine
The screenings are being co-sponsored by respected leaders in Ukraine’s academic, psychology, government, business, and cultural communities, including:
-
Ivan Danyliuk, Dean at Taras Shevchenko University and President of the Association of Ukrainian Psychologists
-
Sergiy Bordeniuk, Director of the Ukrainian Cinematographers’ Union
-
Natalia Musiyenko, Director of the Fulbright Society of Ukraine
-
Denys Krasnikov, Founder of AI Venture Corp. and Co-founder of Vidby.AI

Each screening is designed not simply as a film event, but as a community dialogue. Psychologists and other professionals will participate in post-screening discussions to foster meaningful conversation around trauma, resilience, and healing. All screenings are free and open to the public.
